Johnny Adcock

Founder Emeritus

In 1967, Johnny founded Adcock Financial Group, where he served clients for over 55 years with integrity, vision, and a commitment to excellence. He was a Top of the Table qualifier every year of his distinguished career and a life member of this prestigious industry honor. Johnny also served as Chair of the International Forum and was instrumental in helping to establish NFP as part of the Partners Financial Advisory Board. He generously mentored others in the industry, always giving back in gratitude for those who helped him succeed.

Beyond business, Johnny’s influence on Tampa is immeasurable. He served as Chair of the Tampa Sports Authority during two separate terms, helping to bring the 1984 and 1991 Super Bowls to Tampa and working alongside Phil Esposito and Tom McEwen to bring NHL hockey and the Tampa Bay Lightning to the city. His passion for sports also led him to serve on the Hall of Fame Board and Selection Committee, working with his father to bring what is today known as the ReliaQuest Bowl to Tampa.

Johnny’s heart for the community extended deeply into healthcare, where he served for many years as Chairman of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. He was a tireless advocate for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, where he championed children’s healthcare and helped establish a nursing scholarship fund that continues to impact lives.

In 2023, Johnny retired from Adcock Financial Group and sadly passed away on July 6, 2025.  Johnny leaves behind a remarkable legacy of family, community service, business leadership, and generosity—a life well-lived and deeply loved.
